The Superman movie began filming on June 17 in the same spot the movie crew built a set at last month on Cleveland Public Square. Cameras for the DC Studios-helmed film will roll from now until July 16.

Casting director Angela Boehm had posted casting calls to bring the community together for this movie. She puts her efforts in finding the right ones in the community, even posting the job for $13 per hour. The Greater Cleveland Film Commision also announced that applications were officially out.
