The Grabber Returns In Creepy New ‘Black Phone 2’ Trailer

Ethan Hawke’s terrifying masked child killer has returned from the dead in Black Phone 2, but this time he’s coming after siblings Finn, played by Mason Thames, and Gwen, played by Madeleine McGraw, once again.

In the first film, Gwen finds and saves Finn by using her precognitive dreams. However, her dreams get intercepted by the Grabber who haunts her and her brother years later.

The trailer for Black Phone 2 starts with Gwen explaining the nightmare she’s had to Finn while she’s standing in the killer’s old basement. The Grabber then slowly walks down the stairs toward her. In the following scene, Finn answers a payphone and sees the Grabber staring at him from outside. “Hello, Finney,” he says. “Did you think our story was over?” After Finn reminds him he’s supposed to be dead, the Grabber responds, “You of all people know that dead is just a word.”
