The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has skyrocketed at the box office. Following its release in theaters, it earned $68 million, and it still has the rest of the weekend to earn more profit. Because of the Nintendo character’s popularity, there’s also a new toy that is taking over sales in stores nationwide. Spin Master’s Hatchin’ Yoshi. comes inside a white egg with green spots. When you play with it, the egg moves on its own before cracking open and revealing Yoshi, who says “Yoshi!” Meanwhile, the bottom half of the egg can be used as a stand.

After hatching, Yoshi reacts when you touch his head or nose, his eyes light up when he wants to play, and he responds when you talk to him. After some time, he says “awww” and turns off. The toy costs $99 and is available now only at Walmart after previously selling out.
Fans can watch the movie’s stars hatch their own Yoshi eggs in a video as well. Actors Brie Larson (Rosalina) and Charlie Day (Luigi) tested the toy themselves. Larson’s Yoshi hatched first and started making noises right away. Day’s Yoshi, on the other hand, took a little longer, but once it hatched, the two Yoshis “talked” to each other and ended the video with a cute laugh.
