The creative team behind Wicked has revealed a first look at Glinda and Elphaba’s costumes for Wicked: For Good. They were wonderfully crafted by none other than Paul Tazewell, who also designed dashing fits in 2022’s West Side Story. On the official Instagram page for Wicked, Ariana Grande can be seen wearing a blue and purple fairy-esque dress with a silver-encrusted crown. Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo dons a witch-inspired cloak jacket and signature hat.

Wicked: For Good is the second part of Wicked. The first movie debuted in theaters in November 2024 and quickly earned $46.7 million during its opening day at the box office. In turn, it ended up setting the record for the highest domestic opening ever for a film based on a Broadway musical, surpassing the record previously held by Grease. As of April 2024, it earned $473.2 million.
Wicked: For Good tells the story of two friends in the land of Oz who are part of different worlds, one destined to become Glinda the Good and the other, the Wicked Witch of the West. The movie stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, and Ethan Slater as Boq. The movie is based on Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.
