There’s a new trailer for Zootopia 2, and by the looks of it, things aren’t going smoothly between Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. In the new clip, they’ve been sent to partners therapy, but not in the romantic sense. Technically, it’s not couples therapy, since they’re just work partners. Their boss, Chief Bogo, who’s voiced again by Idris Elba, is making them go. Even though they cracked a huge case in the first movie, their partnership is now a bit rocky.
As the snippet continues, Judy, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, mentions that she and Nick, played by Jason Bateman, have only been official police partners for a week. But their time as a team might be cut short because Chief Bogo says he’ll separate them if they can’t solve a new case.
Directed and written by Jared Bush, this new mystery involves a strange snake that appears unexpectedly in Zootopia. Nick is suspicious, pointing out that no snake has been seen in the city in a long time. But the snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan, claims he’s just trying to help his family.
Alongside Goodwin, Bateman, and Elba, other returning voice actors include Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Nate Torrence, Jenny Slate, Alan Tudyk, Josh Dallas, and more.
