Zootopia 3 has a promising update teased in the latest film’s post-credits scene. But the real juicy details were revealed by stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman in a new interview. Goodwin and Bateman, who play Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in Zootopia, told Collider that the third movie shouldn’t take long at all after an interviewer referenced the decade-long wait for Zootopia 2. The conversation also circulated around the post-credit scene.
“She recognized the tease,” Goodwin said. Agreeing with the interviewer’s suggestion about jumping straight into a third film, she added, “I’m on board. I don’t think the wait would be as long.”

The actress went on: “Hopefully not. I’m not sure, we’re getting older.” Bateman then asked if by “long” she meant the movie’s runtime or the time before making the next film. Goodwin clarified, “Oh, the wait before filming another one. I’m not sure how much older they’d want us to be. I mean, we still look fantastic.”
“After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia’s history, rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find their partnership isn’t as solid as they thought when Chief Bogo orders them to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program,” the logline reads. “But it doesn’t take long for their partnership to be put to the ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis.”

The movie stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy, Jason Bateman as Nick, Shakira as Gazelle, Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Hopps, Don Lake as Stu Hopps, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, Jenny Slate as Bellwether, Alan Tudyk as Duke Weaselton, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, Leah Latham as Fru Fru, Josh Dallas as Frantic Pig, Tommy Chong as Yax, and Mark Smith as Officer McHorn.
