50 Cent has negotiated a three-film deal with 3BlackDot to produce major motion pictures.
50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television is partnering with entertainment company and director, Eli Roth. Using 3BlackDot’s resources across different gaming platforms, publishing companies, and merchandise, they plan to develop the film IP into a 360-degree experience.
The producers of the announced films are a collection of experienced television writers. The Gun, the film about a young man who encounters a haunted weapon while seeking vengeance for his father’s death, is written by Kirkland Morris, whose talents also included BMF and Power Book IV: Force.
Trackmaster, a Hip-Hop influenced horror film in which a rap duo inadvertently discovers and utilizes a bewitched beat, is written by Justin Calen-Chenn. In addition, Creature House is written by Dallas Jackson and Kevin Grevioux, where a group of friends gets trapped in an old movie museum.
50 Cent emphasized the intention behind these 3 projects, “It was extremely important to me that through my horror slate we focus on increasing BIPOC representation. I feel like I have the best team in place here to do so.”
