It’s been a while since Metro Boomin and 21 Savage gave us Savage Mode. Amongst an era where people were doing the mannequin challenge, the duo’s project scoured its way to Rolling Stone’s 40 Best Rap Albums of 2016 catalog.
In the same manner, Savage Mode is highly praised for Boomin’s dark take on the beat pad and the once-XXL Freshman’s way with punchlines. Because of the great feedback, Boomin, and the Issa Knife protagonist decided to make Savage Mode’s predecessor.
Previously, the tabloids let out that the forthcoming project was coming in May, but that turned into a falsity. However, this time around is different because it’s confirmed by a real source: Metro Boomin. In a tweet this morning, the prestigious producer hinted at the album’s soon-to-come release, penning, “I’m in savage mode.”
Hey, better late than never, am I right?
