Sometime yesterday, Freddie Gibbs hinted that he would be dropping the first single, titled “Scottie Beam” ft. Rick Ross off his upcoming album with Alchemist. Before this, Freddie Gibbs teamed up with Madlib for 2019’s Bandana, which Pitchfork reported as “a peek into one another’s worlds while they forge a new one.” The new project is called Alfredo.
Alfredo reportedly will have other features like Griselda’s Conway, Benny The Butcher, and Odd Future’s Tyler The Creator.
Gibbs hinted at the Rick Ross joint on social media after retweeting a tweet from Scottie Beam, who was curious about its title. Gibbs also liked a series of tweets suggesting the album is dropping this Friday. So, it’s safe to say that it’ll drop first thing in the morning. But again, this is just an assumption. A few songs off Alfredo have also been teased on Gibbs’ Instagram in the past.
