On Saturday night, Megan Thee Stallion performed her first virtual concert presented by Live Nation. Without an in-person audience, she still managed to bring her high energy and good vibes to the stage. Whether she was rapping or twerking to her top-charting hits like “Savage”, “WAP”, and “Hot Girl Summer”, Meg knew how to keep fans entertained at home.
While providing an entertaining show for fans, Meg made it a point to take the time to honor the Black lives we have lost due to police brutality. After a backdrop that read “this sh*t is so exhausting”, names like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Freddie Gray, Ahmaud Arbery, Tamir Rice, and Jacob Blake appeared on the screen. Each name was followed by a brief summary of the unjust incidents that occurred. Megan has told fans in the past that she will always stand up for what she believes in.
“Sometimes being a public figure, you don’t wanna say the wrong thing because you don’t want to be insensitive to people or get too opinionated,” she told NME in a July interview. “But I will always say what I feel. I don’t speak on things that I don’t know about, and I won’t speak on things I don’t believe in.” We appreciate you Meg!
