Idris Elba is said to star in Beast, an upcoming survival thriller from Universal Pictures, according to Deadline. Ryan Engle will pen the script.
Although the storyline is under wraps, sources are confident that Beast will play off the 2016 movie, The Shallows. Instead of sharks, a lion will apparently “be involved as the central antagonist.” Will Packer and James Lopez will serve as producers.
