The complete list of Grammy Award nominations for 2021 was just announced earlier today, November 24th at 12 PM ET! There are many well known and respected artists returning this coming year, such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BTS and many more. We will see some duets, some recurring collabs, and some new hits that have dominated the Billboard charts these past few months be in contention for the prestigious award.
However, one popular artist that specifically stands out is Doja Cat. The relatively new pop singer and rapper has risen to international fame very rapidly, and has now been nominated for not one, but THREE Grammy Awards for 2021: Record of the Year for her song “Say So,” Best New Artist, and Best Pop Solo Performance, also for “Say So.” Her career really started only in 2017, and her breakthrough happened in 2019, yet she has already been nominated for multiple Grammy’s in past years and has received two American Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. “Say So” as well as a few of her other hits have already gone viral on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This prestigious nomination adds to her already impressive skyrocketing career, as she will now be competing among Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, and other longtime established stars. And, this is happening just in time for Thanksgiving, she definitely has plenty to be thankful for! We know “Say So” will continue to thrive, and can’t wait to see it performed live at the Grammys and be in high contention for the award! The 2021 Grammys will take place on January 31st, 2021!
