If you’re anything like me, you can’t get enough of Cardi B’s infectious personality, and sense of humor. Well, if thats the case, then I am pleased to inform you that the Grammy-Award-Winning rapper has recently launched a new video series, Cardi Tries ___, via Facebook’s Messenger app and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
Every Thursday — starting now through February 4th — Cardi will be featured in a new episode where she attempts to try something outside of her repertoire, be it ballet dancing, stunt car driving, firefighting, or teaching. She’ll be joined in each episode by actors, athletes, and experts in the field, including Michelle Rodriguez from the Fast & Furious series, Emmy Award winning dance legend Debbie Allen, basketball star Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, and country music singer-songwriter Mickey Guyton.
The series is part of Messenger’s new “Watch Together” feature, which allows audiences to enjoy Facebook Watch videos together with friends and family in real-time. Cardi Tries ___ will be available to view over video calls through Instagram, Messenger, and Messenger Rooms via Watch Together.
This truly feels like a sweet full circle moment. When I was first introduced to Cardi B in 2015 she was notorious for her unapologetic, and wildly hilarious social media presence. She then went on to star in season 6 of the reality TV show Love and Hip Hop, and now the Bronx native is going back to her roots with the new limited series. The chart-topping “WAP” rapper will also serve as an executive-producer of the inventive short!
