Open Roads The Marksman is ruling over the U.S box office amid the pandemic. In only two weeks, the film has grossed a little over $6.1 million.
The Marksman was directed by Robert Lorenz, a longtime collaborator of Clint Eastwood. Liam Neeson stars as an ex-marine sharpshooter. He isn’t looking for any trouble as he mourns the death of his wife, and yet, trouble finds him. As Jim Hanson (Liam) stumbles upon a young migrant woman Rosa (Teresa Ruiz) and her son Miguel (Jacob Perez), he finds himself tangled in their conflicts. Hanson makes the moral decision to help save Rosa and Miguel from the drug cartel killers.
Hanson’s conscience gets the better of him, and he vows to Miguels dying mother to provide assistance. This starts a chain of events that leave the two constantly looking over their shoulders. As the plot thickens, the bond grows between Hanson and the young boy he risks his life to protect. Can Hanson get Miguel to his family safely? The Marksman is now playing in select theaters.
