Netflix has gained the rights to Sony Pictures’ upcoming action comedy film, The Man From Toronto. The Kevin Hart-led movie was initially set to premiere in 2020. But unfortunately, it got slated due to COVID-19. So after things calmed down, The Man From Toronto got a new release date for August 12, 2022. Nevertheless, the movie will drop sometime late this year because of Netflix’s new ownership.
Aside from Hart, the cast list includes Kaley Cuoco, Jasmine Mathews, Ellen Barkin, Lela Loren, Pierson Fode, Woody Harrelson, and Jencarlos Canela.
The synopsis reads:
After the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the Man from Toronto (Harrelson), is mistaken for New York City screw-up (Hart) at an Airbnb rental.
The plot stems from a story written by Robbie Fox and Jason Blumenthal. The script is written by Fox.
