A prime example of exactly that has made massive waves the past few years at Netflix with the supernatural thriller Stranger Things captivating audiences with its unique plotline and astounding ability to tell the story at its core season after season. Depending how you look at it though, the latest news about the newest season of Stranger Things could be a good thing or a bad thing: this week they unveiled the official Monopoly Stranger Things board game, and in it were details regarding the looming fourth season that The Duffer Brothers didn’t want to let out quite yet.
Stranger Things first debuted in 2016 and captured a group of prepubescent teens embarking on the journey of a lifetime. They were enlisting themselves in a battle of good versus evil unlike anything this planet has ever seen, and has subsequently cemented the series as one of the most beloved in production right now. This week Hasbro released the official Stranger Things Monopoly tie-in game and included with it were a myriad of details pertinent to the series’ final season which The Duffer Brothers, the creators of Stranger Things did not want to leak just yet. Heres what we know: Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, and the Byers family move away from Hawkins in an attempt to get their lives back, only to be confronted by a new evil force that eclipses everything the series has thrown at us thus far and puts the group back in the center of chaos. It has also been confirmed David Harbour’s character Chief Hopper is set to make a return for the final season of Stranger Things, fresh off a stint in a Russian prison. Now fans have to just keep counting down the days until it premieres, with part one of season four of Stranger Things set to premiere on Netflix on May 27th.
In todays era of television new series come and go virtually every day, but Stranger Things has been captivating audiences for six strong years. It will be sad to see the gang go, but all good things must come to an end and it seems like Stranger Things is set to go out with a bang. We will just have to wait and see what else The Duffer Brothers have up their sleeve when the fourth and final season of Stranger Things premieres on Netflix in a few short weeks.
