Ashton Kutcher and his wife/former co-star Mila Kunis are returning to That 70s Show. But, this time, it will be a spin-off on Netflix. According to Buzzfeed News, the IRL couple played as onscreen love interests before becoming a pair. The series first aired around 1998 and ran for eight seasons before ending in 2006. Surprisingly, Kutcher wasn’t a part of the last season. But, the actor did come as a special guest.
Reprising their roles as Jackie and Kelso, the new spin-off is said to “pick back up in 1995, following Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti’s daughter, Leia Forman, as she visits her grandparents, Red and Kitty Forman, for the summer.” The original cast is set to hop right back into character as well. There are no other details on the spin-off thus far.
Kutcher spoke about playing his iconic character once more to Variety.
He said, “It was really nostalgic to be back on the set. It’s all the same folks that made That ’70s Show, so it was pretty bizarre.”
Kutcher adds, “Mila and I were contemplating it. We thought, ‘Listen, we’re only in the position that we’re in because of that show, so let’s just go back and do this. We just went back and had fun for a week. It was so random and fun.”
