Beyonce showed her little sis support for her part in the New York Ballet. Solange is the first African American woman to compose music for the prestigious dance form. Her songwriting skills can be heard at Lincoln Center.
The choreography for her score was created by Gianna Reisen. A chamber ensemble, some members from the New York City Ballet Orchestra, and Solange’s frequent collaborators came together for the piece’s delivery.
Alongside a picture of Solange holding a bouquet, Queen Bee wrote:
“You are a visionary and one of one. Congratulations on being the first African American woman to compose for the New York City Ballet. The piece you composed is phenomenal. I love you deep.”
Solange and Beyonce are the only sisters with No. 1 albums on the charts. Bey’s little sister was known for occasionally performing as a backup dancer for Destiny’s Child.
