Drake told the audience that he and 21 Savage would be traveling from state to state for a summer tour during his time at the Apollo Theater. He also brung out Lil Uzi Vert to perform “Just Wanna Rock.”
Another highlight of Drake’s show was when he vaguely spoke about making new music.
He said,
“I appreciate all those people that stick by me.… but I deeply appreciate everybody for continuing to support us. I’ve thought about many things in life, but at this moment, none of those things are stopping making music for you, so I’ll be here for you for a little bit, at least. And I hope I can inspire more emotions for you this year. I might get bored and make another one, who knows!”
During his performance with 21, however, the OVO rapper had to do a quick intermission break because a fan fell over the mezzanine balcony into the crowd. So as the two rappers left the stage, Drake unveiled that he’s “Just gotta make sure somebody’s OK.”
Fifteen minutes later, the person was cleared, and Drake made the special announcement.
“I told them earlier, but.. if you enjoy that experience, feel free to come see my brother this Summer.”
This news comes after their tour locations were leaked online. According to the secret intel, Drake and 21 Savage will travel to Chicago, Detroit, Glendale, Foxborough, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Miami, Atlanta, Inglewood, Las Vegas, and more. No dates have been revealed thus far.
