Math Hoffa has enlisted his artist Brooklyn Hanz for his elegant boom-bap offering “All Around.” In a matter of minutes, Math Hoffa lyrically annihilates his peers, proving through hard-hitting wordplay that hip-hop still has substance.
“Due to the quality of music from trash rappers, I wanted to put something out that was lyrically dope for the culture and what it represents,” the rapper told The Source.
In the single, the My Expert Opinion Show podcaster touches on the depths of his determination and applauds himself for never giving up on the goals he set in place. Math Hoffa raps “I gambled on myself/Look at me/Now I’m paid.”
Between the MC’s witty one-liners and entendres, he also addresses the people who didn’t support him from the very beginning. Math Hoffa drops confident-ridden rhymes about being “up like I’m dunkin’ on s**t,” all while reflecting on the obstacles he hurdled through to become a success. The rapper drops gems as well.
“I wasn’t tryna slave a 9 to 5 ’til my dying days,” Math Hoffa spits along with, “I remember close calls when I wanted to quit/Thank God I’m hardheaded n***a dumb as a d**k.”
In Brooklyn Hanz’s verse, he seemingly addresses a significant other who believes that his heart is elsewhere, his charm, and fighting temptation. Before the song ends, he drops some important advice like, “admiring abrasions on a treasure could make it trash“, for instance.
Brooklyn Hanz and Math Hoffa are signed on Hoffa’s record label DFG Records (Destined For Greatness). In the future, he plans on growing his label and bringing hip-hop back to its roots.
