Five Nights at Freddy’s has passed another milestone at the box office. The horror video-game-based film has moved into the Top 20 best-performing movies of 2023. It’s in the 18th spot and ahead of Sound of Freedom and Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. This weekend, the film passed the $250 million worldwide mark.
Based on Scott Cawthon‘s video game series, Five Nights at Freddy’s is about “a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza,” the synopsis reads. “While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s is more than what he bargained for.”
The movie is available in theaters and on the streaming service Peacock.
