Kid Cudi has officially shared the release date for his much-anticipated memoir, a project he has been developing since 2022.
On December 16, the Cleveland-born artist took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce that his book, titled Cudi: The Memoir, will be available in stores on August 5, 2025. Although the cover art has yet to be unveiled, fans can already pre-order the memoir, which will be published by Simon & Schuster. In a subsequent post, Cudi conveyed his belief that the memoir will profoundly impact its readers.
Kid Cudi initially revealed his plans to write an autobiography in September 2022, sharing that he would delve into his childhood struggles and the challenges he faced growing up. The artist, who experienced the heartbreak of losing his father to cancer when he was just 11 years old, has captivated a devoted fanbase with his deeply personal and introspective music. He started by saying, “I’ve titled my memoir CUDI: By Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi. I aim to release it next year, around September. Reflecting on my life and the journey I’ve experienced so far has been incredibly peaceful for me, as I explore certain memories and the emotions tied to them.“
Cudi continued: “It’s a collection of moments, people I’ve met, the passage of time, the joy, the chaos, and the darker times—it’s all part of this beautiful adventure. I truly believe this book will motivate you to seize every opportunity to live life to the fullest, chase your dreams with determination, and keep faith in God close to your heart.”
