The excitement fans felt when J.Cole and Dreamville dropped Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation album on Friday (July 5), is still being contained.
Now, fans have no choice but to redirect their excitement to something more personal regarding their favorite North Carolina rapper. On the final track of the album, the song titled “Sacrifices” featuring Cole, EARTHGANG, Smino and Saba, the Dreamville originator revealed he and his wife, Melissa Heholt is expecting their second child.
During his verse on the track, Cole expresses his infinite love for Heholt while revealing the news.
“I had nowhere to go, she gave me a place to stay/She gave me her heart to hold/I still got that shit to this day,” he spits. “She ridin’ with me on the road/She ridin’ with me in the A/Huggin’ the block, huggin’ the block, okay.
“She gave me the gift of my son, and plus we got one on the way/She gave me a family to love, for that, I can never repay, I’m crying while writing these words/The tears, they feel good on my face.”
Cole married his beloved wife back in 2015. The two share one child together and instead of residing in Los Angeles like most A-list celebrities, the two settled in a small suburban town not to far from Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina where they will raise their children.
