Right after the release of the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning posters, Lionsgate revealed twelve cool new character posters for their upcoming action movie Ballerina. The film stars Oscar-nominee Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a young assassin from the Ruska Roma clan, who’s out for revenge after losing her family. Along the way, she faces off against a group of elite killers, especially the legendary John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, who’s either going to stop her or kill her.
The movie takes place between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4, so it may help merge the backstory between those films. The upcoming John Wick 5 spinoff series might even give fans a hint about how John Wick returns after his supposed death.
Besides Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves, the action-packed film also features a strong cast. including Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and David Castañeda.
The movie is directed by Len Wiseman and penned by Shay Hatten. It’s produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski.
