The recent teaser video from Scream 7 offers clues to the new Ghostface’s identity. In the short clip, the iconic white masked slasher can be seen stabbing a paper with his New Years resolutions written on it which includes “sharpen the knife every night” and “do more cardio.” The sentence “call old friends more,” however, suggests that Ghostface can be from Sidney Prescott’s past. Both Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, who’ve played Ghostface in previous Scream films, are returning for Scream 7 so it’s a possibility that they might reprise the role.

Scream 7 is directed by Williamson. James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein are producing the movie. Radio Silence will serve as the movie’s executive producer. The plot in Scream 7 will explore Sidney Prescott’s life, similar to Jamie Lee Curtis’ character in the 2018 Halloween film. David Arquette, Scott Foley, Mason Gooding, Jasmine Savoy Brown, and Matthew Lillard are reprising their respective roles. They’ll also be joined by new cast members like Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, and more.
