Kelly Rowland and Method Man star in the trailer for Amazon MGM’s new rom-com Relationship Goals. The trailer highlights Rowland’s character, TV producer Leah Caldwell, who finds out she’s competing against her ex-boyfriend for a promotion she believed she had gotten. As time passes, the two end up working together and discover that they can actually get along after all. The title comes into play based on Method’s character, who references the book Relationship Goals as life-changing.
The synopsis reads: “When brilliant TV producer Leah Caldwell (Rowland) is about to make history as the first woman to run New York’s top morning show, her ex Jarrett Roy (Method Man) swoops in to compete for the same position. He claims he’s a changed man, transformed by the wisdom of the bestselling book Relationship Goals.”
Relationship Goals also stars Robin Thede, Chris Kapeleris, Alex Castillo, Melanie Leishman, David Pinard, Annie Gonzalez, and more. Linda Mendoza serves as the movie’s director, while Michael Elliot, Laura Lekkos, and Cory Tynan have penned the script. Relationship Goals is based on minister Michael Todd’s 2020 New York Times bestseller book Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex.
