The Brad Pitt-led movie F1 is officially getting a sequel. According to BBC, film producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that a second installment is on the way. At the moment, it’s underway. During an interview, Bruckheimer revealed, “We’re working on a sequel.”
F1 featured an all-star cast including Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, and Javier Bardem. It ended up earning $630M at the worldwide box office and gained four Oscar nominations, including one for Best Picture.

The movie follows the story of a veteran who gets counted out by the world, only to get one final shot at redeeming himself. Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One driver whose career never took off. Despite this, his spirits remain high. After racing in other circuits, Sonny is unexpectedly offered a chance to join the APX Mercedes team as a second driver while also mentoring a rising star, Joshua Pearce, played by Idris. Along the way, the two tend not to see eye to eye, and they both struggle to gain the respect of their fellow competitors.
