The newest movie in Tyler Perry’s Madea series is finally out.
After debuting Madea’s Destination Wedding seven months ago, Perry has now released Joe’s College Road Trip, which is streaming today on Netflix.
The movie is written and directed by Perry, who also plays both Madea and her crazy older brother, Joe. The cast includes Jermaine Harris, Amber Reign, Bethany Anne Lind, Patricia Williams, Jeremy Gimenez, Millie Jackson, Deetta West, Wil Deusner, and Ben Swiley.

In the film, Joe takes his grandson BJ on a cross-country road trip with no rules and no limits. Things quickly spiral out of control, leading to wrong turns, nonstop jokes, and plenty of Joe’s out of pocket behavior.
This movie is Perry’s latest project with Netflix, part of his ongoing deal with the streamer, under which he creates movies and series. Madea, a character inspired by Perry’s mother and aunt, first appeared in a 1999 stage play and later became the star of a long-running film franchise that began in 2005. Since then, Madea has appeared in more than a dozen movies.
