The Call of Duty movie just got a new update at CinemaCon 2026. The movie could hit theaters on June 30, 2028, which is a little over 2 years away. It doesn’t have an official title. Even though it’s based on Call of Duty, it might be called something different when it releases.
The movie is being directed by Peter Berg, who also worked on movies like Hancock and Battleship. He’s writing it alongside Taylor Sheridan, who created Yellowstone. It’s being made by Paramount Pictures and Activision, the company behind the popular shooting game series.
At CinemaCon, people got to see a short teaser. It showed game footage with the song “Seven Nation Army. Berg said he wants the movie to feel real and show what soldiers go through, while still having big action scenes. The goal of the movie is to give fans what they love about Call of Duty while also attracting new viewers who may not know the games.
The Call of Duty series itself is huge! In 20 years alone, it’s had over 1 billion players and made more than $35 billion.
