The live-action Legend of Zelda movie is coming out earlier than planned. Nintendo announced that the release date was moved from May 7, 2027, to April 30, 2027.
Nintendo creator Shigeru Miyamoto said the team is working hard to finish the movie as soon as possible and thanked fans for waiting.

The movie has already finished filming and is now in post-production. So far, the cast includes Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda. It’s directed by Wes Ball, who also directed The Maze Runner movies and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
There are also rumors that the classic Zelda game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time could get a remake for the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. Another rumor says the next Zelda game may let players travel between different worlds and dimensions, similar to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
