Marvel Studios has released a new poster for Avengers: Doomsday featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
It shows Doom wearing a dark green cloak and standing in front of green stained-glass windows. His hood covers most of his face, while his glowing eyes and armor stand out.
The movie will bring together characters from three Marvel universes, including the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. The first trailer revealed Doctor Doom as the main threat and showed the heroes preparing for a major multiverse battle.
The official synopsis says the heroes will face “an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
The Russo brothers are directing the movie. Meanwhile, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are writing the script.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, and Anthony Mackie. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are also returning as Professor X and Magneto. James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Kelsey Grammer are expected to make an appearance as well.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. The movie will lead into Avengers: Secret Wars, which will continue the final chapter of the Multiverse Saga. Marvel also announced that tickets are now available in standard, IMAX, and Dolby theaters.
