Netflix has revealed the first official logo for Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew. Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, the film is based on C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia books. The new logo features a colorful swirling design that matches the magical and mysterious world of Narnia. Netflix also confirmed that this will be the first time The Magician’s Nephew has been adapted for the big screen.

The movie stars David McKenna as Digory Kirke and Beatrice Campbell as Polly Plummer. Other cast members include Emma Mackey as Jadis, the last Queen of Charn, Carey Mulligan as Mabel Kirke, Digory’s mother, Daniel Craig as Andrew Ketterley, Digory’s uncle, Tom Bonington as Mr. Potts, Ava Jager as Violet Plummer, Polly’s sister, and much more.
The Magician’s Nephew is one of two Narnia movies Gerwig is making for Netflix. The new movie could give fans a closer look at the origins and history of Narnia while introducing the world to a new generation. More details are expected as the film gets closer to its theatrical release.
Filming began in August 2025 and wrapped in January 2026, putting the movie on track for its 2027 release.
Unlike the earlier Narnia movies, Netflix appears to be starting with the story’s timeline rather than releasing the books in their original publication order. It is set to hit IMAX theaters on February 10, 2027, followed by a wider theatrical release on February 12. The movie will begin streaming on Netflix on April 2, 2027.
