Travis Scott, Yung Lean, Future, Metro Boomin, PinkPantheress, Rauw Alejandro, Morgan Wallen and Keith Richards Lead Rockstar’s Genre-Bending Musical Rollout
When it comes to Grand Theft Auto, the music has never been background noise. It is part of the experience. From cruising through Vice City with the perfect song playing on the radio to discovering an unexpected record that suddenly becomes attached to a favorite gaming moment, music has always helped give Rockstar Games‘ world its personality. Now, with Grand Theft Auto VI officially on the horizon, Rockstar is turning that soundtrack into a destination of its own.
Today, Rockstar Games and Atlantic Records officially announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. A 34-track collection of original music created for the world of Vice City and Leonida. And judging from the first six tracks, Rockstar isn’t playing it safe.
Welcome To The Sound Of Leonida
The first wave of music already feels like a playlist designed to make one thing very clear: Leonida has its own sound. The six newly released tracks pull from hip-hop, pop, electronic, country, Latin music and rock, bringing together artists whose musical identities couldn’t be more different. Yet somehow fit perfectly into the unpredictable universe of GTA.
The first officially revealed songs are:
- Yung Lean — “That’s It” feat. Future & Metro Boomin
- Travis Scott — “RHYNO” (produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo)
- CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy — “Sexy Magic”
- Morgan Wallen — “Last Thing You Need”
- Rauw Alejandro — “Macacoa 2000”
- Keith Richards — “Bright Lights, Big City”
All six are available to stream now, giving fans their first real taste of what Rockstar has been cooking behind the scenes. And if these are only six of the 34 original tracks, there is clearly a lot more music waiting in the wings.
Travis Scott Meets Daft Punk Energy
One of the biggest immediate talking points is Travis Scott’s “RHYNO,” produced by none other than Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk. That pairing alone is enough to raise an eyebrow. Scott’s larger-than-life sound meeting one half of the legendary French electronic duo is exactly the kind of unexpected musical collision that feels at home within the GTA universe.
Then there’s Yung Lean linking with Future and Metro Boomin on “That’s It,” while PinkPantheress joins CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy for “Sexy Magic.”
Meanwhile, Rauw Alejandro brings Puerto Rican flavor with “Macacoa 2000,” Morgan Wallen represents country on “Last Thing You Need,” and Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards adds some rock ‘n’ roll history with “Bright Lights, Big City.” This isn’t simply a collection of popular names. It is a collision of cultures, generations and genres.
Rockstar Knows Music Is Part Of The Story
There is something bigger happening here than simply releasing an album alongside a video game. Rockstar has spent decades understanding that music can help define a fictional world just as much as characters, locations and storylines. And Grand Theft Auto VI is introducing players to Leonida. A fictional state inspired by Florida, with Vice City sitting at the center of its neon-soaked universe. That makes the musical identity particularly important. The music has to sound like the world.
It has to feel like something you could hear while riding down a highway, pulling into a nightclub, speeding through the city, sitting on a beach or getting yourself into whatever questionable situation Jason and Lucia find themselves in next. With 34 brand-new tracks designed specifically around the game’s world, Rockstar is giving itself an entirely new musical canvas to work with.

And We’re Only Hearing The Beginning
Here’s the part that makes this rollout even more interesting: We don’t have the full tracklist yet. Rockstar has confirmed the album will contain 34 original tracks, but only six have been publicly revealed so far. That leaves 28 tracks still under wraps.
And Rockstar isn’t stopping with the album announcement. The company says additional details are coming regarding the game’s dynamic score, the next evolution of its in-game radio and more musical elements. Translation? The playlist is nowhere near finished.
From Vinyl Collectors To Streaming Sessions
For the fans who want to experience the music outside the game, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is also getting the physical-release treatment. The album will arrive digitally and in physical formats on November 19th, the same day Grand Theft Auto VI launches. Collectors can pre-order multiple vinyl and CD editions, including a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter-edition vinyl and a CD jewel case. Additional exclusive vinyl colorways featuring unique artwork will also be available through select retailers. That means GTA VI isn’t just preparing to dominate gaming conversations. It is positioning its music to exist independently as an actual collectible album. And honestly, that feels very GTA.
34 Tracks. One Vice City. A Whole Lot of Volume.
If Grand Theft Auto VI is truly preparing to redefine the open-world gaming experience, its music has the opportunity to do something just as important, by defining the sound of an entirely new era of GTA.
From Travis Scott and Metro Boomin to Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards, Rockstar is already showing that Leonida won’t be confined to one sound, one generation or one culture. And with 34 original tracks on the way, we’ve only heard the opening act.
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album arrives November 19, 2026, alongside Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The album is available for pre-save, while physical editions are available for pre-order. Six tracks are out, and twenty-eight remain. And if this is what Rockstar sounds like when it’s just getting started… Leonida is about to get loud.
