Toy Story 5 has already become a sensation during its first five days on Disney+. According to Cartoon Brew, the Pixar movie, directed by Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris, was watched more than 20 million times on the streaming platform. For Disney+, these stats are groundbreaking, especially since it’s now one of the platform’s top 10 theatrical movie premieres worldwide.
The release of Toy Story 5 has also influenced viewers to revisit old films from the franchise. Ever since the first Toy Story 5 teaser was released, the other Toy Story movies have gained an additional 168 million hours of viewing.

Toy Story is Disney+’s most-watched movie franchise, with more than 2 billion hours watched worldwide. The first four movies are also on Disney+’s 20 most-watched films each year. In terms of merchandise, Toy Story products bring in more than $1 billion in sales each year.
Over the summer, Toy Story 5 earned more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office. This pushed the combined box office total for all five movies past $4 billion. Disney estimates that the franchise has amassed more than $50 billion since the first Toy Story movie was released in 1995.
