There was an overwhelming amount of news coming from Sweden since A$AP Rocky’s trial began. The rapper has been behind bars in the country for a month. Yesterday, Rocky gave his side of the story in court. Shoutout to HotNewHipHop for the updates.
A$AP Rocky and the two co-defendants appeared in court earlier today. The prosecution urged the judge to sentence Rocky and the co-defendants to six to ten months behind bars for the alleged assault. The prosecution gave their final argument today, suggesting that the alleged assault was intentional. However, Rocky’s team continued to tell the court that it was actually done out of self-defense.
President Trump spoke about the situation on Twitter and tried to make a joke to connect with minorities perhaps? “A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!” He wrote on Twitter.
Rocky’s peers took to Instagram to show their excitement, rapper Tyler The Creator showed a screenshot of him on Facetime with Rocky. As well as Drake showing his appreciation that Rocky is released.
