The creative Taika Waititi keeps the world entertained in and out of the movie theater. While in quarantine he’s been using social media to joke and show more of us talents. Along with being an Oscar-winning filmmaker, Taika also does some stellar acting in his own films (Jojo), contributes to the creative designing for scenes and now he’s taking up sewing and showing us his cooking while he hosts a Thor: Ragnarok commentary on Instagram live.
Twitter had the pleasure of seeing Taika projects first. Featuring a plaid bunny/kitty and a button eyed snake with a “rustic” fringed ends, The Thor:Ragnarok joked that he’ll be trading film-making for the pursuit of the worlds joy by sewing.
“It’s the right thing to do” the multi-talented Director tweeted.
If the plan is to sew some mask for the first line workers running out of supplies than he’s absolutely right. It is the right thing to do. I’ll take the bunny-kitty for my cat!
Now Back to movie business: Taika Waititi announced he’ll hosting what he called the “Coolest Thor themed party of the afternoon”! On Instagram the director of the award winning Thor: Ragnarok spoke to fans on Live as they indulged in the commentary earlier today at 4pm PST (7p EST). The Live has been running for about an hour and a half as stars like Tessa Thompson and Mark Ruffalo joined screens and socialized authentically with the very funny Taika Waititi.
Hopefully the live will be saved so we can go back and catch the details of the script leak and plans for future films.
