Following the release of his top-charting album, After Hours, The Weeknd garnered an acting spot on American Dad! The musician is set to play himself, except in animation form. The word is that American Dad! hit its 16th season mark earlier this month, and on May 4, 2020, The Weeknd will make his short debut.
Reportedly the “Star Boy” singer co-wrote this episode with Joel Hurwitz. He made this very announcement on Instagram by sharing a photo of the episode’s flyer. Pitchfork also notated that The Weeknd will give fans an earful of a new song; however, it’s unclear what the song will be. Guess this only gives us more reason to watch the forthcoming episode.
