American Horror Story has been on an impressive run since it first aired in 2011. Now after nine seasons the show has cemented its place in television, amassing a gargantuan audience in the process. Though the show may not be for everyone given its bizarre and potentially disturbing imagery, it is impossible to deny its uniqueness and originality in telling a multitude of stories. For this reason the show took off quickly and hasn’t slowed down since with the tenth season currently in production, but that isn’t all. American Horror Stories, a new spinoff anthology series from AHS creator Ryan Murphy, is currently finishing up production at FX and now officially has a release date.
Every season of American Horror Story is unique, revolving around a different plot each season but still maintaining the same storyline from start to finish. American Horror Stories will be a little bit different with each episode telling a unique story while maintaining the freakishly intriguing energy that makes its predecessor so special. Now the series has an official release date: American Horror Stories will officially hit FX on Hulu on July 15th. The first season of the series will consist of sixteen hour-long episodes and will revisit characters and themes from past seasons of American Horror Story. The news became official when FX released the poster above, featuring a nod to the very first season of the series that aired a decade ago now.
Even if you aren’t a fan of the peculiar or terrifying, American Horror Story seemingly has a little bit of something for everybody. The team behind the series certainly knows how to get creative, essentially creating a new universe every time they release a season. Now their creativity will be tested once again with American Horror Stories, giving fans a new world with every episode instead. Fans of the notorious series can begin counting down the days until the series releases in a few short weeks.
