After running for a good twelve years, Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club is closing its doors. The radio show, hosted by Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee, covered all things surrounding the hip-hop culture. From notable interviews with musicians, entertainers, politicians, technicians, and entrepreneurs to hilarious segments, the trio always knew how to liven the mood for all morning people.
On Tuesday, the whole world was informed about The Breakfast Club ending. Yee unexpectedly dropped this bomb through her Twitter page. She wrote, “The breakfast club as you know it is officially over [heart hands emoji].”
Although there’s no information as to why it’s over, we do know that Yee will be more involved in her Lip Service podcast. Charlamagne The God, however, is most likely focusing more on his network, podcasts, and series.
