Batman: Caped Crusader has found a new home at Amazon. After getting the boot from HBO Max, the streaming platform obtained rights. They’ve decided to keep the show running for another two seasons.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the animated DC series was shelved because of Warner Bros. and Discovery’s merger last year. Though several streaming services were “intensely interested,” Amazon went through lengths to make this union happen.
So far, there’s no word on the plot. However, we know this will be more of an adult animated series focused on Batman’s journey through Gotham City. Batman: Caped Crusader was first announced in 2021. The show stars Bruce Timm, J.J Abrams, and Matt Reeves.
