Blue Beetle has been confirmed as the first character from DC Universe. James Gunn, DC Studios’ co-CEO, confirmed the news during an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum‘s Inside of You podcast.
Although the first DC Universe film, Superman: Legacy, centered on Clark Kent, the real DCU character is, in actuality, Blue Beetle.
Because of how The Flash reset the DCU, previous characters will appear in the newest DCU.
Superman: Legacy will be the first DCU film entirely developed and produced by DC Studios.
Blue Beetle makes their debut on Aug. 18 through Warner Bros Studio. The Blue-Beetle project will star Maridueña, George Lopez, Susan Sarandon, and Becky G.
