Brie Larson is on the fence when it comes to doing future MCU Projects. At the D23 Expo, the actress confided in a reporter about being uncertain about this decision. She also wondered if fans would be upset or happy about her absence in upcoming films. A sneak peek of The Marvels was shown at this same event, which features Larson.
When Variety asked this boiling question, Larson said: “I don’t know. Does anyone want me to do it again?”
She continues, “I really don’t know. I don’t know the answer to that.”
Regarding her pivotal role in The Marvels, Larson was asked about her work experience with Iman Vellani.
She says,
“It’s great, I mean, I think this is where we need to– we just need more… I know I say that a lot, but it’s just like, more, more.”
“We need to show different ideas of what it means to be strong, what it means to be flawed, like, what it means to be a superhero. There’s so many different ways to do it, and I think this movie gets to explore that and offload some of the pressure from Captain Marvel to be this, like, ‘Captain Marvel.’ It’s like, ‘It’s okay. There’s a lot of other really talented, beautiful, special women that can also help make this world a better place.'”
Brie Larson has been a part of the Marvel franchise since 2019.
