Today is a beautiful day in Latin music. For years, Urban Latin artists have made strides towards integrating themselves into the American music market. If you grew up Dominican then you most likely experienced the sweet birth, and gradual evolution of Dembow, brought to us by artists like Secreto El Biberon, Black Jonas Point, El Alfa, Pablo Piddy and many more. Well, now nearly a decade of hard work has begun to bear its fruit.
Anuel AA and Cardi B have joined up-and-coming artists Secreto El Biberon, Black Jonas Point and Liro Shaq for a remix of the trio’s hit single “La Bebe.” The new version, released under GLAD Empire and Flow La Movie labels, features Cardi B rapping entirely in Spanish, which is truly impressive!
“It is exciting to know that Cardi B and Anuel AA are joining us to release the La Bebe remix,” said the rising bunch. “It’s more than a dream come true and we hope all of our fans enjoy it to the fullest.”
The original version, produced by BlackFreestylo and Geral La Melodia, was released earlier in December and the video has more than 33 million views on YouTube. Now, with hip-hop stars like Cardi and Anuel signing on one can expect the new rendition to pave the way for other up-and-coming Afro-Latino and Urban artists who are looking to find their voice within the American industry.
