Collider reports that Chance The Rapper will star in the Sesame Street movie. According to the site, he’ll be playing the Mayor’s aide. Additionally, the Sesame Street movie “is expected to boost a strong ensemble of diverse stars, a la Disney’s 2011 movie The Muppets.”
Chance will play alongside Anne Hathaway in this very film, that’s said to be a musical adaption. The forthcoming movie is based on the television series, Sesame Street. Portlandia director and co-creator Jonathan Krisel will be directing the live-action Sesame Street musical.
Full of lively puppetry and songs to sing along to, the Sesame Street movie will follow Big Bird and his friends as they find themselves mysteriously transported to Manhattan. It’s up to them to find a way back home and help a history show host save her show along the way.
