Globe winner Christian Slater is set to act alongside WWE wrestler John Cena in an upcoming action-comedy film titled Freelance. The other cast members in the said movie are Alison Brie and Juan Pablo Raba.
Pierre Morel, the director of Taken, will also direct Freelance. The screenplay is written by Jacob Lentz.
The plot revolves around an ex-special forces operator who takes a job providing security for a journalist who is hoping to enhance her career by interviewing a dictator.
Unfortunately, things go awry when a military coup breaks out in the middle of the interview, and the pair, along with the dictator, escape to the jungle. While there, they must survive the military’s many attacks, animals hunting them and each other.
