Grammy-nominated musician/artist CyHi (formerly known as CyHi The Prynce) recently debuted his new video series, titled THE HARDWAY MUSICALS PRESENTS: BARCODE, on November 4th, 2020. Down the timeline, CyHi has been nominated for a Grammy for five of the past six years, including for Kanye West’s “New Slaves” and “Ultralight Beam,” as well as for Travis Scott and Drake‘s multi-platinum hit, “Sicko Mode.” CyHi has also garnered positive feedback from major music publications like Pitchfork, Complex, and XXL, who featured him in their XXL Freshman series in 2011.

“I’ve been kept silent for a while, just biding my time, but now I’m ready to start sharing myself in a way I haven’t done before,” said CyHi. “BARCODE has allowed me to showcase my screenwriting skills and acting ability in the most creative and impactful way possible.”
THE HARDWAY MUSICALS PRESENTS: BARCODE stars CyHi, B. Simone, Emmanuel Hudson, Desi Banks, Nav, Karlous, Trizzy, Phillip Hudson, Chico Bean, Wallo267, Money Bag Mafia, and Tracy T, to name a few.
The sequence is set in the slammer and follows the hashtag #FreeCyHi.

Throughout the episodes, expect live performances, comical skits, and interactive tools. A portion of the proceeds will go toward CyHi’s newest album, prison reform initiatives, and medical attention for various prison facilities.
