The Wrap reports that Dave Franco will star in a new biopic movie called To The Extreme. The word is that he’ll be portraying as ‘90’s rapper, Vanilla Ice. This news comes about following his directive eye in the forthcoming flick, The Rental.
To The Extreme will explore the life of Vanilla Ice, including his time as a high school dropout, selling cars in Dallas, to becoming the first hip-hop artist to have a top-charting single in the 1990s called “Ice Ice Baby.”
We have been in development for a while, but we are inching closer and closer to preproduction,” Franco said. “With that movie, people expected us to make a broad comedy where we make fun of Tommy Wiseau, but the more real we played it, the more funnier and heartfelt it was — that’s the tone we want for this one as well.”
The release date has not surfaced yet.
