AppleTV+ has officially announced the premiere date for Defending Jacob, which derives from William Landay‘s crime drama novel. Ironically, the works of art share a name as well. From the looks of things, Captain America‘s Chris Evans will star in the show. Defending Jacob will hit small screens on three different occasions on April 23, 2020, with new episodes premiering every Friday.
To get viewers even more hyped, AppleTV+ has released some first-look photos of the cast. Defending Jacob revolves around a crime scene that shakes up a small town in Massachusetts. The plot mainly shifts on an Assistant District Attorney who must choose between doing whats lawfully right or protecting his 14-year old son who is accused of murder.
According to Coming Soon, Warner Bros. had planned on making Defending Jacob a film back in 2012, but it was never finalized.
