The first look at the Batmobile debuted on Twitter via The Batman’s director Matt Reeves. Photos show the redesigned auto with red rear highlights and a big back engine from three different angles. Check it out:
The enhanced features are noticeably different from the most recent Batmobile we saw in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy (2005-2008). Batman’s new ride differs from most comics and just about all 8 movie mobiles as this one looks simply like… a car. Most Batman vehicles have this extravagant, riskae body, being either a race car or taking form of a spaceship or tank on wheels but Matt Reeves auto has a simple build, with grilles on the top and a third brake light.
Some fans agree Matt Reeves Batmobile was inspired by elements of the classic Batman series starring Adam West (1966). So far we’ve seen Batman’s costume, Batman’s stunt double on a motorcycle and now the it’s the BAT-MOBILE.
With a year, 3 months, 2 weeks and 6 days to go until The Batman debuts in theaters (Yes. Were counting down), we’ll be keeping eyes out for more Batman news. The rest of the plot details are still under wraps but the cast has been confirmed.
The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayne Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard.
It will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
