When most think of Gal Gadot, they think of the incredible job she played in the role of Wonder Woman in the latest reboot of the franchise, with Wonder Woman: 1984, the fourth installment, making its way to streaming services next month. The lack of a theatrical release has the potential to hurt many across the country, but Gadot’s spirit is seemingly unsullied. It was reported not long ago that Gadot was the driving force behind a passion project of hers in which the life of Cleopatra will be explored, with Gadot of course fulfilling the titular role of Cleopatra herself. She does not seem to be slowing down herself however, as it has just been announced that Gadot will play the lead in the upcoming spy film Heart of Stone.
Though some may say Gadot type-cast herself by accepting the Wonder Woman role, however this is clearly not the case. Gadot is an industry veteran, working in the television and film industry’s since 1999, and it is safe to assume she played a wide variety of roles during this time. The Wonder Woman reboot is what made Gadot a household now, but now she looks to take that a step further, maybe into true superstardom as she undertakes more roles and continuously develops and her skills as an actress. Instead of playing a superhero this time, Gadot will be playing an international spy the likes of James Bond. Seemingly this will not be the only time she dons the role as discussions of a full series are in place where Gadot will seemingly reprise her role.
From the Fast and the Furious films to the Wonder Woman series to an upcoming film where she will star as Cleopatra, is there anything Gadot cannot do? Now, she seemingly hopes to rival the most notorious spy in the history of Hollywood, James Bond who is played by Daniel Craig, to ensure her success. Success certainly has not been hard to come by for Gadot, and this step in a, relatively, different direction could prove to be integral in cementing Gadot’s career. However, she is far from discouraged; she continues to take role after role head on, and if her performonaces do not prove her talent, the box office numbers she generates certainly are. Regardless of the role she is playing, Gadot has certainly adapted to the Hollywood to the fullest extent, and this could truly just be the beginning of Gadot’s stardom. Only time will tell, but fans of Gadot are likely more than eager to see what happens next on the saga.
